Foods great.. but the for quality you must also pay for it. I think its $40+ per person.

I went to Fune a while ago but they weren't serving their the sushi on the floating boats so I was a little dissapointed..(it was a Saturday night i remember!) Anyhow, although we sad right in front of the boats, we were only allow to order from the menu anyhow, the food was quite pricey but I have to admit that it tasted better than what we usually get at a regular sushi bar. Service was a little bit slow, as it took me a while to get a waitress to come over to fill my cup of tea. However, I thought it was a bit too pricey... we only order 2 main dish and the bill was like $60....
I much prefer this other authentic Japanese Restaurant if I were to pay this price(forgot its name (not Tokyo sushi) but it's located at St. Patrick St between Dundas and Queen near some apartments almost on Queen St)

I had a bad experience with Fune. My friends took me out for my birthday, and I picked Fune since I love sushi.
My pals made me order an expensive sushi/sashimi combo. From what I remember it was pretty good, but I couldn't finish it all. So I asked the waitress to get the rest of it to go. She didn't understand me, and in the end tossed it out in the garbage (12 or so pieces)
I talked to the hostess and all she did was shrug and said that the girl didn't understand me. Had I not been with friends, I probably would have argued more.
Their loss, since I go out for sushi about once every two weeks.
